Man! I had to fire JB's Automotive in Aberdeen Maryland because dude broke a window on my car and was really slow at modifying the car. All John did was cut out the old cage and order the new one for me so I guess I'm gonna have to do this myself. Unless anyone knows a good shop in the area. Southern Maryland?

So the last couple of week I spent my time removing the rhino liner from the floor of the new project car and I discovered rust where the cage was welded. Well time to fix this crap. Dont trust a car that has been rhino lined on the interior. You end up with crap like this. Bought a welder with plasma cutter and tig capabilities so this weekend ill be getting it done. Gonna cut the 6" plates out and replace them with 7" lower reinforcement plates then secure the cage to newly cut 6" mild steel plates after all the damage is repaired.

Sorry fellas. In opened a business doing advanced car audio installations in Maryland and I have not been in my garage lately due to all the customers. I have been redesigning the Corvette IRS to fit the Civic rear frame rails and tying them together with the cradle kit. This is what I have so far.

Looking at the trailing arm design on this setup, I was going to opt out and utilize the factory civic trailing arm design. however, those companies and independent fabricators that had done that before had limited themselves to the factory civic geometry and spring rates associated with that design. Also what size of wheel they could run and offsets. I think for this design I am going ot go with the corvette C3 trailing arm design. It will give me the opportunity to use the spherical bearing mount under the civic where the original pivot point of the rear trailing arms would be and make a mount for the C3 Van Steel Offset trailing arm. The civic factory trailing arm mount is about 20" long from the center bearing to center of the spherical mount. This is a good basis for understanding.

The length of the civic is 160.2" so that would put the Center of Gravity @ 80.1". Trying to figure out where I need the instant center to be of the Anti-squat ratio.
