Downing Park is the largest of several public parks in the city of Newburgh, New York, USA, and was first completed in 1897 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. It is centrally located within the city, with the most prominent feature of the park being the pond and fountain in its southwest corner. To the east, the land rises to a small hill, the terrace, which overlooks the Hudson. The building pictured is located at the top of the terrace, and due to its crumbling structure, is no longer open for public access.
